"One of the best I've had the pleasure of working with. Only when I worked with Hiro Murai have I been taken aback by the amount of detail in a production. He's a big talent in my world." - Busdriver, Big Dada

Mattia was born 34 years ago in Italy. His approach to filmmaking is the result of 10 years working as an arthouse cinema projectionist, an architect, a storyboard artist, a set designer and finally directing both independent and commercial content around the world for brands and labels such as Getty Images, Coachella Valley Festival and Ninja Tune.
His shortfilms have been screened at festivals such as Cannes and Raindance. Entirely shot in 2 days, the 25 minutes long documentary The Sakakini Palace was produced by the EU Delegation to Egypt, becoming an official document for the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities. The commercial work he did as a set designer in Berlin was mostly carried out for award-winning production houses and agencies.
As a director of projects across Europe, the Middle East and the US, Mattia learned to perform within different cultural contexts and to work with a wide range of budgets and ideas, continuously expanding his vision towards a unique style influenced by both popular and experimental language.
